Pierson: All things that make a mark, or can be changed to become something new.
Echo Times: What is the art discipline that you identify with?
Pierson: Graphic design, jewelry making, and costume design.
Echo Times: What art classes you are taking now (or have taken) at COM?
Pierson: My mom started signing me up for COM art classes since I was in high school so there is no way I can remember them all! But the ones I have taken since I have become an "official" COM student are painting, fiber art, drawing, jewelry making, sculpture, and life drawing.
Echo Times: What made you get into doing this?
Pierson: I just love making things, but my mom's the one that got me to start taking art classes.
Echo Times: What is the most recent project that you worked on?
Pierson: A painting I did of my pet dinosaur Bob Shimermegigan. (See photo)
Echo Times: How do you feel about the way it turned out?
Pierson: Good.
Echo Times: What are you working on now, or what do you anticipate working on?
Pierson: My projects tend to change from week to week. Currently, I am working on a time travel device.
Echo Times: What inspires you?
Pierson: The crazy bizarre fantasy world that is my brain. I do not like painting things like still life of fruit or exact rendering of a landscape. Its already here, I can already see it. I prefer making something that was not in this world before I made it.
Echo Times: Do you have any additional comments?
Pierson: Yes! Visit my website!
