Campus 'club culture' everpresent

Student groups and organizations bring opportunities to transfer students or the newly enrolled

Students for Social Responsibility is a club focused on creating social awareness on issues that are important to the community such as the war in Iraq, health care, fair and living wages. SSR has sent students to WTO in Seattle, but has also paired up with local groups to put on local events like Race and Class In Marin Education conference that was held on January 26. Jim Geraghty of SSR said, "Our next planned event is the Democratic State Senate debate between Senator Carole Migden, Assemblyman Mark Leno and SF Police Commissioner Joe Alioto Veronese." Interested in joining the Students for Social Responsibility can find more information on the club message board found in the entrance to the lower level of the Student Services Building.

There are many other clubs found on the College of Marin campus, their information can also be found on the club message board in the Student Services Building.
