FACULTY NEEDED FOR COMMITTEES

Participate in the Governance of the College

The Faculty of the Community College System has fought long and hard to gain the right to participate in college governance. We exercise these rights (AB 1725. Title V) to make recommendations to the administration of a college and to the governing board of a district on academic and professional matters through the committee structure.
There is a need for more faculty participation on committees. We especially encourage new faculty members to join any committee that schedules allow. It will provide a valuable learning experience, increase your knowledge, and allow you to influence your future as well as the college's.
