What is ASCOM and ASIVC?
· ASCOM is the student government representing the Kentfield campus
· ASIVC is the student government representing the Indian valley campus
What are the necessary qualifications to become a member of either organization?
· You must be currently enrolled in at least 9 units
· To be a part of the Governance Committee you must be enrolled in one class
· You must be in good academic standing.
How much time is involved?
· ASCOM & ASIVC Board of directors require 3 office hours per week and 1 board meeting per week
· For information on becoming an ASCOM & ASIVC or auxiliary member call ASCOM or ASIVC.

· Why should you join?
· Activities stamp on transcripts.
· Letters of recommendation to colleges.
· Enhance and or change the student environment.
· Interaction with the staff, faculty and administrators.
How can I get involved?
· Find someone already involved.
· Come by the office (located in the Student Services Center)
· Sit in on a board meeting.
· Contact ASCOM (415) 485-9390.
· ASIVC (415) 883-2211 X8322.
When is a good time to get involved?
· NOW! We are currently looking for members in many different areas, even in volunteer work

· ·Cal SAC (California Student Association for Community Colleges)
· Dec 7- 9th in Los Angeles.
· Student body will send five representatives.
Both meetings are for the enhancement of leadership skills and organizations of student government
