Former College of Marin Student Annaliese Vobis was one of several students invited by fiber arts instructor Carole Beadle to presenter her work at "Entanglements," an five-artist exhibition at College of Marin's fine arts gallery in Kentfield. Her piece, "Biomimicry" is one of the most eye-catching pieces at the show.
Like spring wild flowers, Marin Artists and Music Alliance returns this semester with a series of free performances, aimed at increasing the sense of community at College of Marin. The free events will be held in the quad from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will include food vendors as well as an intermission in which COM clubs and groups will be able to make announcements about their upcoming activities and events.
Echo Times: What art classes you are taking now (or have taken) at COM? Paster: I am studying sculpture, and special projects with Emily Lazarre, as well as many years with Chester Arnold in advanced painting. I started with drawing classes in the extension (non-credit) college with Ann Curran Turner, and continue with those as well.
