Thank you for your continuing involvement and willingness to read up on the issues facing your community college. It has been my privilege to serve you the past two years as a trustee. As I leave, I have an opportunity to speak the truth as I see it and hopefully help the college grow into the 21st century with spirit and pride.
It is unfortunate that losing candidate Annan Paterson is still displaying the same behaviors and blind eye after the election that she showed before the election. Perhaps some clarifications from United Professors of Marin would allow your readers to decide for themselves just what really is going on.
At the College of Marin there exists a potentially fatal problem, which I believe is the college's responsibility to address. The problem I am speaking of is on the north side of campus where students and faculty are crossing Sir Francis Drake Boulevard without benefit of a crosswalk.
As concerned students we believe that we should be informed by this paper about changes that occur on campus. One issue we would like the paper to address is the rumored move of the media center from LC 120 to a smaller space. Every student should know about this move and have an opportunity to voice their opinions.
